Thank you for your continued support as we all work together to keep our community as safe as possible from COVID-19. 157 tests last week week yielded two new positive cases. We also had an independent test for a resident who was positive. Total quarantine and proper procedures have been in place to keep everyone safe.
As of this writing, Floyd County’s positivity rate is 26.9%, so please continue to be vigilant.

On Friday, Governor Kemp requested that he’d “like to continue to ask for the people of Georgia’s patience as we work hard to swiftly, safely and efficiently administer the limited supply of vaccine we have to those for whom it would be the most good to get.” He also stated that “We have much hope on the horizon, but we’ve got to hunker down and continue to fight this together.”

We have several avenues for the vaccine that seem to be close to paying off for us. We are working diligently to ensure that all of us can receive this vaccine as quickly as possible here at The Spires. Please, rest assured that we will let you know the moment we have secured a date. In the meantime, if you have any success in signing up with another agency, please do so. We will create a list with dates of vaccination in order to track it all. Our goal is 100% compliance so we can start wiping this virus out.

The Governor has renewed the Public Health State of Emergency until February 7, 2021.

We kindly ask that you direct any questions or concerns to Tracy Cochran at 706-280-2410.
