In Skilled Nursing, the quality of care depends not only on the aptitude of caregivers, but just as importantly on their attitude. Maintaining a positive disposition and genuine affection for our residents is a central component of our care philosophy across our Health Services at The Spires . And nowhere is that positivity more present than here.

What is Skilled Nursing and Rehab?

Skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities are meant to provide short-term care for individuals who require a higher level of care and attention as they recover from a surgery or fall. Most rehabilitation centers offer services like physical therapy, 24-hour nursing assistance, and help with daily activities before the patient returns to their home in independent living or assisted living.

Skilled Nursing And Rehab at The Spires

This neighborhood is where residents who are being treated for an illness or injury receive 24-hour skilled nursing care or rehabilitation to help them recover mobility and restore strength. In a homelike setting, The Spires provides the highest level of attention and care available with a staff that includes many of the region’s most experienced professional caregivers, including RNs, LPNs and certified caregivers as well as physical, occupational and speech therapists.

Rehabilitation at The Spires is administered in partnership with the therapists of Broad River Therapy, a nationally recognized provider of services to older adults. In addition to their expertise in the specific disciplines of therapy and rehabilitation, Broad River Therapy team members have been trained to identify residents who may be at risk for falls or mishaps and to offer counseling and preventive assistance that can prevent injury.

The cost of care for those in need of short-term rehabilitation after a hospital stay will be covered through Medicare/Managed Care. The Spires will also accept private pay and works with a range of health insurance providers.
